Hi there, I am a parent of 4 kids, all go to Providence Pediatrics in Charlotte. I am very involved in a local group here call Families Managing Media, started by local Mom Melanie Hempe, RN of Matthews, NC. We educate parents about the importance and benefits to limiting and managing screen use in the home (video gaming, social media, smart phones, ipads, etc…). She has appeared many times on the Charlotte Today show and writes blogs for Charlotte Parent magazine. My children see Dr. Moorman, and I spoke quite a bit with him about our organization, and gave him some of our material. Parents need help! Please feel free to check out our website at http://www.familiesmanagingmedia.com for more info. We can be a great resource for families who are struggling with this issue. We also hold monthly meetings and seminars in the Charlotte area. We would love to share our info on your website, or on your pedcasts! Please feel free to contact me or Melanie at Melanie@familiesmanagingmedia.com.
